Liverpool winger Mohamed Salah has finally joined Egypt national team’s training camp ahead of the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations.

The Pharaohs have started their camp a week ago as they prepare for 2019 AFCON, hosted by Egypt, which will take place between 21st June to 19th of July.

However, Salah didn’t turn up until Wednesday as he needed a long rest after guiding Liverpool to the historic UEFA Champions League title in Madrid on the 1st of June.

According to reports, Salah could feature in today’s training session, but will not make the squad which will face Tanzania in a friendly on Thursday’s night.

However, he will be available for Egypt’s final test against Guinea on Sunday, June 16 at Borg El-Arab stadium in Alexandria.

Salah’s club teammate Naby Keita who is from Guinea has confirmed his availability for the friendly as well.

Egypt will kick off their AFCON campaign on the 21st of June when they face Zimbabwe in group A, before facing DR Congo and Uganda on June 26 and June 30 respectively.
