Felton Kamambo and Gift Banda are back in the ZIFA elections race after FIFA intervened in the stalemate that almost saw the two disqualified from participating in the upcoming elections.
Kamambo is vying for the ZIFA presidency where he is set to contest against the incumbent Philip Chiyangwa. Banda on the other hand is hoping to beat Omega Sibanda to the ZIFA vice presidency.
The two had initially been disqualified from the process, the grounds on which kept shifting. Their appeals had also been thrown out by the ZIFA Electoral Committee for “lack of merit”.
Gemazo can exclusively reveal that Kamambo filed complaints to FIFA which has now intervened.
ZIFA has confirmed the development though they were reluctant to state that they had reversed their decision on FIFA’s instructions, more to follow.
